New Work
These pieces are part of a series called Everything Heavy Becomes Light, exploring the beauty and power and, yes, even the whimsy of everyday tools. By transforming them into assemblages of organza fabric, welded steel, and weathered wood, I am placing them center stage in order that the viewer might discover the elegance and emotional presence they deserve.
All these sculptures are based on my own personal tools, the ones that have served me for decades.
As to the tractor tires–let them speak for themselves.
